DISNEY MOVIE LOVERS MUST READ

So I'm sure you have seen the Disney Movie Club brochures talking about FREE movies or Disney movies for only $.99, you probably have blown it off as a scam or to good to be true, right? Well Guess what, I have some exciting news for the Disney Lovers.........IT ISN'T!

You won't get Free movies or Movies for $1.00 but you WILL get them for a lot cheaper then you can anywhere else but there are some stipulations so let me tell you about them.  

At initial sign up you will be prompted to pick out 4 DVD's or Blu Rays for a total of $1.00

You will also be given the option to buy a 5th movie for $14.99

And a 6th Movie for $9.95

Add a 5th and 6th movie if you want the best deal.

So this means at initial sign up you will be paying a total of $29.90

The contract that you "sign" at sign up states that you will then have to purchase 3 more movies at full price within the next 2 years.

Prices range from $19.99 for a DVD

$29.95 for a Blu Ray

There is also a $3.95 shipping charge for each order

THERE IS A CATCH YOU HAVE TO WATCH FOR!

Every 4 weeks you will receive an email and also a card in the mail asking if you want to purchase the "Featured Title" This is is a movie that usually just came out. If you do not go online to your account and deny the featured title every time that you are asked about it, then they will automatically charge you.

One way to avoid missing one and getting charged is after your initial signup is set up and you have received your movies buy your other 3 movies within the first month and then cancel your membership.

You can't buy all 3 movies at the same time because you have to pay the "FULL" price and the more movies you buy at one time you then receive a discount.

So you can buy your three movies in a span of 3 days if you like, or you can wait until new movies come out that you love and just remember to deny your featured title each month.

My suggestion is to cancel your account as soon as you receive all 9 of your movies in the mail.

The program isn't that great after you get your initial movies, they are actually overpriced and you can get caught up in the hidden featured title.

How to get FREE or Cheap Stuff, FOR REAL

You have heard it a million times, if it sounds to good to be true it probably is, well guess what, that's not always the case. I have found ways to get free and cheap stuff and all you have to do is leave a review for that item. Here are a few ways how..

All of these websites are affiliated with Amazon and that is where you leave your review to get cheap items. Once again Amazon Prime is a life saver, you don't have to have it but the items you choose to buy will be cheaper because you don't have to pay for shipping.

1. Snagshout

This is my favorite review site. You go in and choose which items you would like to review. You start out with only being able to review a few items but the more you review them the more credits you will get to use to buy or "Snag". You can get items for up to 90% off. and what I love about this site is they put the items into categories so if your looking for baby items you just click on the baby category. I have bought bibs, teethers, blankets, stroller organizers, phone cases, toys, and for some I only have paid $1.00! You just have to leave a review on amazon after you receive it and submit it at snagshout. It's so easy and a great way to get free stuff

2. AMZ Review Trader
This website works just about the same as snagshout except the only difference is instead of being able to get something right away you have to request to review it and you don't always get everything you request. While this site doesn't always give you what you want when you do get something the price is usually even lower then snagshout because they only let a few people review it.

3. Elite Deal Club
This is another great website. With this website you can get cheap items right away but they are very good deals and they sell out quickly. New deals come on at 10:00 AM, 2:00 PM, and 7:00 PM. Most of the good deals are gone within the first MINUTE of being posted so you have to be quick for this one.


All of these websites are great and I use all three. I have even started Christmas shopping through them, which is great. With every review site that you use you will have to agree to a contract that says you won't resell any of the items that you get to review, and it states that if they find out that you are selling them your account will be terminated.

What is a good Price: Baby Items

So when I started couponing I did everything I was supposed to, I cut coupons, I looked for deals but I still had one question....What IS a good price for an item? Well now that I have learned this I'm here to help you figure it out. I will be talking about baby items in this post

Gift Cards

I use gift cards for every store I shop at.

This is a little trick I learned not to long ago. 

I use the website http://www.giftcardgranny.com/

This website is a database of a ton of gift card buying sites. It will show you the best deals from all the websites. I literally have saved a ton of money using gift cards for all the shops I go to. What is great is that a lot of the sites (not all) offer electronic gift cards, that way if you are deciding to go somewhere last minute you can still use a gift card. Granted the gift cards can still take an hour or two to process so it can't be totally last minute. But if you are feeling like going out to eat in the evening and get a gift card in the afternoon you should be good to go. 

If someone you know has a birthday and you are planning on getting them a gift card, why not save a little money and buy one at a discount. They will never know it was discounted. This is a great time to get the physical cards which ship for free most times and come within 3-7 days. This is also a great idea for Christmas. Either to give as gifts OR to use to buy gifts! 

If you want to buy a gift card to a popular store to use for Christmas shopping like Toys R Us or another big store I would buy your gift cards early as they sell out quickly the closer we get to Christmas.

Another tip is that usually the higher the price of the gift card the better the percent off. For Example, right now you can get a $383.65 gift card for New York & Company for only $230.19. That's a savings of  $153.46 or 40% OFF. That's awesome. Stack that with store coupons and you get some pretty amazing deals. Now for some of us that don't have almost $250 laying around to spend on a clothing gift card this isn't always ideal but if you work in a business setting and need that type of clothes this can be a life saver over the coarse of a year. For Ladies we all know the best Bra's and panties are at Victoria's Secret, you can save around 20% on a gift card to buy those expensive but wonderful bras! And if you love name brands like Pac Sun and Hollister you can usually get gift cards for 25%-40% OFF! CRAZY!

This can add up to DEEP discounts for your total.

Lightning Deals

Lighting deals are constantly going on. It offers an item for a certain amount of time at a discount. They only have a certain amount of that item so most of the time they quickly sell out. These deals are not always the cheapest you can get so don't feel pressured by the clock before shopping around. If you are an Amazon prime member you get to see the deals 30 minutes before everyone else. They often sell toys at great prices so keep an eye out to shop early for Christmas!

Amazon Prime Pantry

Yes, I do some of my grocery shopping on amazon. It isn't just only food either they have beauty and baby products, pretty much anything you would find at a regular grocery store. You can find great prices for food if you look at the coupons and the current deals. How prime pantry works is this, you have a Box that as you add items it fills up and you will see it showing you the percentage of the box that is full. You pay a flat rate of $5.99 per box for shipping (Amazon prime free shipping does not apply here). You can get pretty much stuff in one box. Another little hint is if you buy things on regular amazon and you have amazon prime if you choose to not have rush delivery you will get a $5.00 coupon to apply to your amazon pantry order. This is on some items but not all so keep an eye out.

There are a ton of money saving apps that give you money back on things that you buy, and they are free to download.

Most of these you just add the item to a lit and then scan your receipt and you get cash back, some of them you can link your store card and don't have to worry about scanning. Most of these apps require you to have $10.00 in your account before you are aloud to cash out but that doesn't take long.

GIFT CARDS

This is a site that hosts all the different sites that sell gift cards and will show you the best deal.

Buying gift cards don't always save you a ton of money at every store, it depends on the store and the percent of the discount on the card. Here are some examples:

CVS: YES

 NEVER shop at CVS without a gift card. You can get CVS gift cards from 13% to 17% off depending on the day. What is also nice about this is a lot of the CVS gift cards are printable, so you plan your trip and see how much your going to spend and then buy a gift card for that amount of your total and automatically get another 13-17 percent off. It would just be stupid not to do this.

Target: MAYBE

 Target gift cards depend on if you have a RED card (Target credit card). The most I have ever seen target gift cards go up to is 7% off. If you have a red card you automatically get 5% off so to me it isn't really worth it to buy a gift card. BUT if you are buying a big or planning a big trip an extra 2% off might be worth it, OR if you don't have a red card I would definitely get a gift card. 

Weis: NO

 Weis gift cards are very hard to find since they aren't in every state so I normally don't get them for weis, but you can sometimes find them on Ebay

Amazon: NO

Amazon gift cards are also very hard to find at a good price and if you have an amazon card you will want you rewards points anyway.

Lowes/Home Depot: YES

I don't have a Lowes or Home depot credit card, the benefits aren't that great.

Lowes gives you 5% off everytime

Home depot gives you 6 months no interest

So therefore gift cards are a must for a person looking to spruce up their home or do other projects.

You can find these gift cards for 5%-10% off depending on the day and that really adds up when you buy big project. We are currently replacing the windows in our home and this has saved us TONS. 

I have listed a few stores but you can search for others and see what deals you can come up with. I always like to buy the ecode printable ones so you can print them right away and don't have to wait for them in the mail. Gift cards are also great for Restaurants, you can get some VERY big discounts but if your like me that's hard because going out to eat in my family is very last minute. But maybe if I did more planning I would buy them more.

Getting Started

So I am going to start with couponing, which is my favorite form of saving. When I go into a store and get something for FREE or for only a couple cents you get an awesome form of adrenaline rush (yes, Seriously). I am not like some couponers who go into a store and buy a hundred of one item. Believe it or not that is almost impossible as most stores have made their coupon policies so that is not possible. So if you would want to buy 100 of something you would probably have to go to the store about 25 times in one week. Usually the most on one item you can buy at a time is 4. Now I only coupon 3 stores and this is because they are closest and most convenient. I coupon at Target, Weis and my favorite CVS. You also need to know that couponing is not a quick and easy thing, it takes A LOT of time and planning.  Now back to the basics......what you will need to get started. The pictures are what I use.

1. A Large ZIPPER Binder 

There are many ways to organize your coupons but this is the easiest way I find to do it.

You will want one with a zipper as sometimes the coupons fall out

2. Multi Tab Dividers

You will want to buy as many tabs as you can so organizing categories is easier.

I have 15 tabs in my binder

I also love the ones with pockets so you can store odd shaped coupons

3. Pocket Page Protectors

You will need A LOT of these (probably 100)

You will also want strong heavy duty ones since you will be taking them in and out alot

4. Sunday Newspapers

It is up to you how many of them to buy each week

I buy 4 every Sunday

There are also some sites where you can just buy the coupons without the paper but I haven't done this.

5. A Good Pair of Scissors

You will want a comfortable pair of scissors as you will be using them A LOT
